“God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday

posted Aug 30, 2013, 2:20 PM by Pastor Russ Crouthamel
On Sunday, September 8 Lutheran congregations throughout the country will be celebrating the 25th anniversary as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbors.  The ELCA is made up of dedicated followers of Christ who roll up their sleeves and gets to work.  Our parish will join in the celebration of this day by taking up a special collection to benefit one of our local social ministry organizations.  We will collect items for the “Clean and Gleam” Soap Pantry housed at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ.  Items needed are: shampoos, soap, body washes, lotions, toothpaste, tooth brushes, etc.
