On October 31, 2017 we will be marking the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door at the University of Wittenberg, starting what is considered the birth of the Reformation. Over the next year, we will be posting “Luther’s Words” on the bulletin board by the Nursery. Please feel free to add any others that you may come across. In the meantime, “Old Lutheran.com” writes: “As we move closer to the 500th Anniversary we hope that we can continue to change the world by being a little more Lutheran. Grace draws us in. Grace points us out. We live out that grace with baby steps. We think that by being just a little more Lutheran we can make the world a better place. Together, we can make a difference. As we get ready for Reformation 2017 let’s lean into 500 years of grace and hope and peace and love and joy and rest and welcome and forgiveness and music and worship and study and proclaiming and supporting and encouraging and calling and listening and sharing and giving and praying and preaching and learning and empowering and caring. Together, one step at a time, baby steps even, together, we can be ‘A little more Lutheran.’” Be inspired.
