Fifty million Americans – 1 in 4 children – do not know where their next meal is coming from. “A Place at the Table” is a documentary that investigates incidents of hunger experienced by millions of Americans, and proposed solutions to the problem. It shares powerful stories of people who are attempting to maintain their dignity even as they struggle to eat. It proposes that ending hunger is in the best interest of us all. There will be a showing of this documentary on Thursday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. with discussion to follow. There will be time for discussion following the movie. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
