Free Barbershop Concert: A Harmony Sampler

First English Lutheran Church presents “A Harmony Sampler” performed by the New Bethlehem Chapter (NBC) Chorus of the National Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). This lively performance is being held Sunday, April 10th at 4:00pm in the church located at 104 North Gilpin Street (corner of Pine Street and North Gilpin Street), Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.  This free concert is a preview of the NBC Chorus presentation of their “60th Annual Parade of Barbershop Harmony” being held later in April. New Bethlehem Chapter (NBC) Chorus is a chapter of the Seneca Land District (SLD) that is one of 17 Districts comprising the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). The NBC is comprised of participants who love to sing and harmonize in acappella. A few of their barbershop quartets include The Logical Choice, Shades of Harmony, and Special K.  The members are from around the region including Punxsutawney, New Bethlehem and as far away as Clarion. This engagement of the NBC will be upbeat and buoyant with soaring vocal harmonies in songs familiar to many of us.  The First English Lutheran Church presentation is the second in the 2015-2016 concert series brought free to the community for musical enjoyment of all.  Reception and light refreshment will be offered in the social hall after the performance.
