Holy Cross Day

Holy Cross Day will be celebrated on September 14.  This festival, which originated in the fourth century, celebrates the triumph of the cross.  In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul reminds us that Christ crucified is the power and wisdom of God.  We lift high the cross as the sign of health and salvation for this world.  Every time we make the sign of the cross we remember our baptism into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
