Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. On this day, we join in hearing the
story of how Jesus was celebrated as he processed into Jerusalem. Quickly the
tone changes as Jesus is placed on the path of suffering, shame, and death.
Though Jesus is obedient even unto death on the cross, he is exalted by God. We
gather to remember his offering for the life of the world, and to be fed by his
life-giving mercy. The traditional Palm Sunday Liturgy with the procession of
palms and the reading of the Passion According to St. Matthew will be held on
Sunday, April 9th. Liturgies will be held at 9:00 a.m. at MZ and 11:00 a.m. at
FE. Please gather in the basement at MZ and in the social hall at FE that day. |
